My name is Georgina, I was born and raised in beautiful Lions Bay, British Columbia, surrounded by the ocean, forest trails, and a close-knit community. These early experiences instilled in me a deep respect for nature, a strong sense of place, and the importance of connection—all of which continue to shape my values and teaching philosophy. For the past five years, I have called Kamloops home, where I’ve continued to grow both personally and professionally while pursuing my Bachelor of Education at Thompson Rivers University. Living in the Interior has further strengthened my commitment to environmental stewardship, land-based learning, and a newfound passion for golf.

I am a passionate and reflective educator dedicated to creating inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environments where every student feels seen, heard, and valued. Especially in today’s world, students need strong social-emotional support and safe, trusting relationships with the adults in their lives. I believe that relationship-building is the cornerstone of effective teaching, and being a reliable support system for my students is my top priority. When students feel safe, connected, and cared for, they are more open to taking risks, exploring new ideas, and growing both academically and personally.

With a strong foundation in inquiry-based learning, arts integration, and place-based education, I strive to foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in my classroom. Guided by the First Peoples Principles of Learning, I aim to honour diverse ways of knowing and incorporate Indigenous perspectives in respectful and authentic ways. Whether I’m guiding academic lessons, leading collaborative projects, or exploring the natural world with students, I work to create relevant learning experiences, empowering and grounded in care, for each other and for the environment we share.
